Frequently asked questions

An excess is the first amount payable, which is your responsibility in the event of the submission of a claim on your underlying insurance policy. It is the uninsured portion of your loss and is payable regardless whether it was your fault or not.

The insured is the person named in the policy schedule and includes his/her spouse as well as family normally living with him/her and financially dependent on him/her.

It is the comprehensive short-term insurance policy which you have purchased from an authorised Financial Service Provider which covers your loss in the event of an accident, fire, theft or hijacking. The policy must be a comprehensive insurance policy with any registered South African insurance company.

Monthly payment option is available only over a period of 4 months.

You may use your excess waiver when you have an authorised claim on your underlying insurance policy and the excess applied/charged is covered on this policy.
